Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager – CPA

Tax Manager Responsibilities:

• Meeting with clients to learn their needs and propose solutions
• Planning tax projects including staffing, budgeting, and billing
• Managing engagements to ensure exceptional client service and expected realization rates
• Reviewing staff work and providing timely, specific, and meaningful feedback
• Leading and mentoring staff to meet individual professional development goals
• Staying current on regulatory and industry changes and implementing new standards and technical pronouncements
• Identifying new client and business development opportunities

Tax Manager Qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
• Minimum 5 years of public accounting tax experience
• Public accounting management experience
• Expert knowledge of tax compliance and planning for individuals and businesses
• Multi-state or international tax experience preferred
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting or a related field
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple high-level work assignments


Audit Manager / Senior Audit Manager – CPA

Audit Manager Responsibilities:

• Meeting with clients to learn their needs and propose solutions
• Preparing formal written proposals and responding to RFPs
• Planning audit engagements including staffing, budgeting, and billing
• Managing engagements to ensure exceptional client service and expected realization rates
• Presenting audit results and reports to client Boards of Directors and leadership teams
• Reviewing staff work and providing timely, specific, and meaningful feedback
• Leading and mentoring staff to meet individual professional development goals
• Staying current on regulatory and industry changes and implementing new standards and technical pronouncements
• Identifying new client and business development opportunities

Audit Manager Qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
• Minimum 5 years of public accounting audit experience
• Public accounting management experience
• Expert knowledge of audit standards and quality controls
• Experience auditing businesses, nonprofits, and governmental entities
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting or a related field
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple high-level work assignments
• Ability to travel within a three-hour radius from the Capital District


Client Bookkeeper - QuickBooks

Client Bookkeeper Responsibilities:

• Chart of accounts setup
• General ledger
• Bank reconciliations
• Accounts payable
• Invoicing
• Investment posting
• Class tracking
• Sales tax
• Payroll setup
• 1099 preparation and filing
• Training clients.

Client Bookkeeper Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 five years relevant bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and Excel
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects for different types of clients, in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently
• Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
